Release Date: 4/14/08

Security Experts have uncovered a backdoor trojan that infects databases.

According to McAfee, The Fribet Trojan allows hackers to steal and modify database data. Although this trojan was targeted against pro Tibetan web sites initially, it is a general security threat. Additionally, the trojan has the ability to run arbitrary SQL commands from compromised machines onto connected database servers.

Bureau 24 recommends that you watch access to passwords and more importantly that you have good security software.
